Adam – the name – Newborn Photography Singapore

Majority of parents love organise a newborn session for their baby but at the back of their mind, they are also worried at the same time. Worried about how the baby will behave during the shoot; how sleep deprived parents will cope and look during the photo session, worried about how the shoot will affect baby’s feeding schedule, and the list goes on. But with Tomato Photo, I address these challenges by offering them beyond a photography session. A photography session with a nanny service 🙂

I tend to be the nanny during the shoot, I carry the baby, feed the baby, comfort the baby and ensure that they are comfortable through the entire shoot so parents can sit back, relax and enjoy the show… this is what I do in every single shoot so beautiful images can be created for the parents…
With this shoot, nothing is out of ordinary, Adam slept through almost the entire shoot with only a few second of crying… a sign that we need to take a break, feed the baby before we continue…

I am a nervous father, I prefer my baby is comfortable, peaceful and at the same time allow me to create an art of them.

2.5 hours over 80+ images created for Adam… I am one happy photographer and clients just over the moon for the images that they see a few days after the session…. Here is what they wrote on my facebook review section:

I love newborn details, how they look inside mom’s tummy as well as the expression… these are what I am looking for during the shoot… something that will never change through time…

If you would like to understand how you can have those images as a precious gift to your child, contact us TODAY…

A beautiful morning with Andrea – Family Photo Shoot Singapore

Most people feel relaxed surrounded by nature. Botanic Gardens being the UNESCO site, provide a sanctuary for families who wanted to have their family photograph taken.

Meeting children for the first time is always interesting…. I am the kids and people magnet and  I know the basic principle in getting kids to warm up to me very quickly.

Oliva is 4 and Victoria is a little 2 years old, they are shy and playful in nature. Observing what Victoria do give lots of joy while photographing her. She would be observing things intensely around her, dance to the music that mummy had on the speaker… simply adorable!

What I love to see in a family photo shoot with young children is the interaction with their parents, allow family to connect and allow them to do what they love to do as a family through guidance. Unique images usually just emerge for you to preserve them. This is what I love about family photography. There is always something different to capture.

I have introduced controlled lighting into my outdoor shoot so I can always have nicely lit images for clients . This have made my workflow quicker than before and clients get the see the finished set of images within 48 hours from shoot.

Here is what Andrea wrote me on email after seeing the images:

Hi Hart,

Thanks for the photos! That was really quick! The photos look great…

-Andrea

I hope you enjoy looking the images as much as Andrea’s family. Give us a call or email if you need to have your family shoot done.

Good Bye Singapore

For many of us that call Singapore home, will eventually need to leave to wherever we are going… that include Slattery’s family.

Danielle has always wanted a family photography session with their children, but never find time to do so… and they had to pack up and leave soon. They had 2 weeks left in Singapore before the big move to US. Family photography that shows Singapore backdrop is one of the bucket list that needed to be ticked off…

They don’t have the luxury of time so they had to choose the best in everything they do before the big move.

A week before the shoot, an email from Danielle that reads ” Our 2 years old girl, Alice, can be very shy with new people but we’ll hang back and let you work your magic with her!”

When parents specifically mentioned that a very shy little 2 years old, typically, they are very shy. I know it is not going to be easy to capture Alice and the family especially, they also have a very little 3 months old.

I knew I had to give her space that she needed… just like fishing… sometimes, you have to let go before pulling it…

My style of photography evolve around the people that I photograph. I don’t like to post them too much, but I tend to immense myself in connecting with them. Observation and feeling on what is going to happen next allow me to capture what felt with heart. That is my key in offering personalisation to clients who choose to have their memories preserved by Tomato Photo.

Home Newborn Photography with Jane

One late afternoon, I was having coffee session talking to a fantastic Wedding Photographer, and my phone rang. It was Jane, on the line. Like many mothers, Jane had some queries about my Newborn Baby Photography Session.

Most parents worried that their baby don’t turn up on time, they worried about having to travel to a studio to have the photography taken, they worry… yes, as a father, I find myself in the same situation when my child was born. Constantly worry just about anything and everything…

Having the memories preserved should be easy…  It was like catching up with an old friends while doing things I love the most.

Anyway, I had a blast in doing the session for Jane, Daniel and of course little Emma and I am glad that clients are thrilled.

Home Family Portrait Photography with MacFarlan

It was my birthday and I am shooting 4 shoots in 1 day on extremely painful feet  isn’t a life of a photographer that I am envisioned.

It is an obsession and perhaps addiction to the act of preserving memories for others. Always enjoy every second when I am out and about.

Anyway…

Another beautiful session for Macfarlan whom I have the privilege to see the kiddo grow up from little newborn…

Arrive on the day, being told Jay, the elder boy was in the bad mood and they have contractors coming in an hour… no pressure!!!

I love the space and I love the lights and all I need to do is to take away the computer and miraculously make everyone smiling naturally in front of the camera.

I always remember vividly when my little boy was cruising below the dining table and I always love those moments and here I find the perfect place and light and perfect smile…

At the end of the day… client’s kind words strengthen my belief in memories preservation. It is the best gift I could receive for my birthday…

Hi Hart,

These are great photos!  Love them!  Thanks so much! – Mamiko
