One Photographer. From First Portrait To Last.
Every family photoshoot at Tomato Photo is personally photographed by Hart Tan, studio owner and Master Photographer. The images you see throughout this website were photographed by Hart too.
For more than 18 years, Hart has photographed families across every stage of life. From newborns and energetic toddlers to teenagers, parents, elderly grandparents and family members with special needs.
That breadth of experience matters.
A family session often requires moving effortlessly between very different personalities and generations: knowing when to guide, when to engage, when to slow down and, occasionally, when to simply let a moment happen.
The result is portraits that are natural, timeless and unmistakably yours.

When The Moment Matters
Book Hart For Your Family PhotoshootWhat Happens During Your Family Photoshoot?
Once You Arrived, Hart Takes Over.
You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do next. Hart guides the session from start to finish while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and light.
Balance of Natural & Classic Portraits
Expect a thoughtful balance of beautifully composed family portraits and the spontaneous expressions that happen in between.
With young children, Hart works around their personalities, allowing expressions to come naturally without forcing smiles.
Most Sessions Take Around One hour
Enough time to create variety without unnecessarily tiring young children or elderly family members.
View Everything Privately Online
Edited viewing images are typically presented through a private online gallery, allowing you to select your favourites at your own pace without an in-person sales session.

Tomato Photo ReviewsWhat To Wear During The Family Photoshoot
Start with clothes that feel like your family.
Coordinating tones usually photograph more naturally than identical outfits, while large logos and very busy patterns can draw attention away from faces.
Once your session is booked, we’ll guide you based on your family, location and the style of portraits you’re creating.
