Outdoor Family Portrait In Studio is the latest innovation as we lived in hot and humid weather present several challenges.

Here are some of the main challenges:

Heat exhaustion: Hot and humid weather can quickly cause heat exhaustion and dehydration, making it uncomfortable for the family to stay outside for an extended period of time.
Sun exposure: Direct sunlight can cause squinting, harsh shadows, and unflattering skin tones. It can also be challenging to find a suitable location that offers enough shade.
Frizz and sweat: Humidity can cause hair to frizz and makeup to run, while sweat can leave unwanted shine and make the family members feel self-conscious.
Equipment protection: The hot and humid weather can damage camera equipment, and the photographer may need to take extra precautions to protect their gear.

While we can plan the outdoor shoot earlier in the day or early evening, wouldn’t it be nice to have both indoor studio shoot in classic portrait done for the elderly while outdoor backdrop serve as a gap filler for the younger generation who likes something more dynamic.

Best part is the elderly make their way to our studio in their wheelchair; young families can push their stroller from drop off point to studio with no stairs!

5 stars!!! Our second time booking our family photoshoots with Tomato Photo Studio. Hart is very professional, good with kids (very patient too!) and listened to our photoshoot preferences. Their studio is kid friendly and spacious. The best part is that our photos came out the way we wanted it to be and Hart was pretty quick with it. The idea of an Outdoor Photoshoot is always great but can be restrictive in terms of timing and the fact that we are always at the mercy of the weather which has been rather unpredictable lately!

Usually, the older generation tends to appreciate formal looking shots, while the younger folk enjoy a variety of looks, including outdoorsy images.

Why not have both options within one photo session?

These backdrops are large enough to fit up to 20 pax easily so multi-generational and big family shoots can benefit from having this added option in our studio.

Rain or Shine Event. No sweat worrying about what the weather will be like on the day of your shoot, because with our new outdoor backdrops, we bring the outdoors, inside!
Flexible Timings. You can now schedule your studio session anytime from 8am to 5pm instead of waiting for specific outdoor conditions.
7 Days A Week. Hart is usually available for bookings 7 days a week, including Public Holidays. So there is no need to worry about outside crowds, or taking leave from work.
My Elderly Parents Are Coming Too. To cater to older folk and anyone with mobility concerns, our studio is wheelchair and stroller friendly, with no stairs and just a few metres away from the lift landing. We also have plenty of parking, and a sheltered drop off area.
What Backdrops Can I Choose? Everyone is different so depending on your family and preferences, we have backdrops ranging from formal to fun and vibrant, from shots with natural light, to an actual outdoor area within our building and not forgetting the latest outdoor backdrops. If you’re like me who don’t take family studio shots often, you’ll want to pick one where everything will turn out beautiful. Not all studios are the same. The lighting at Tomato is SO MAGICAL. There are interesting shadow details that gives the photos so much depth. Plus Hart (the only photographer) is great with kids. The combination of these are priceless. Your family deserves the best.
