100 days Children/Baby Portrait Photography

In Korean’s culture, 100 days is regarded as an important milestone for little baby. Majority of the family is looking for 100 days children portrait photography.

It was nice to have the grandparents around for the session. So we could do a bit of family photography, a bit of individual portrait, a bit of 100 days… one photography session covers many purposes.

The home is beautiful and it was really bright as it was on the high floor with glass windows all around. The shoot was rather challenging, because the baby, who suppose to be the “star” for the day, wasn’t feeling so well, so decided to take a nap. So we decide to capture everything else and waited for the baby to wake up.

I was really given a good 15 minutes by the baby before he feel grouchy again… but I am glad that everything was done to my expectation. The clients were thrilled by the result.

Family Photography at Chijmes

Lisa has been looking at my work for a while and finally convince the family to do a family portrait with me at Chijmes.

Chijmes is beautiful for family session, it is quite, the architectural is beautiful. It compliment the grown up kids family portrait photography really well.

For family who has grown up children, I tend to approach the session in more “structured” manner, it like to think it is modern image with a touch of classic feel to the image. Family with young children, I prefer to angle it towards the dynamic nature of the child.

As Kaitlyn is graduating soon, so we did her senior portrait at the same time.

The only thing that has changed is the price, the quality and the photographer is still the same as you get from Tomato Photo.

Celebrating 90th Birthday with Family Portrait Photography

Many would agree turning the big Four O (AKA 40) is a milestone in someone’s life.

Turning 90 is a huge milestone that worth celebration and the best celebration in the world has to be small gathering with the family. Home is where the warmth and bonding are made, and it makes a perfect location for the session.

I have previously shot this family 2 years ago and it is always nice to hear from a familiar voice again.

As always, I always prefer to start family portrait photography with more of a formal notes and progressively relaxes to focus on the family dynamic as well as individual shots of the family and children.
