Tomato Photo – Who Is Your Photographer
We only have one Master Photographer. Yes, ONE since 2008! And he’s also the studio owner. Every image you see on this website was personally photographed by Hart.
It is a personal choice to keep the studio with only one photographer so you get the same level of consistency as the work you see on our website.
Being small means that we can be more flexible when it comes to getting you results. Being small also means that you are getting unique work.
You don’t just get any photographer that is on duty, you get a Master Photographer who is at the pinnacle of his craft.

Tomato Photo Studio – History & Milestones
Dec 2007 : Tomato Photo officially incorporated with ACRA as Photography Studio.
March 2008 : Our first foray into the world of Family and Children Photography focusing exclusively outdoors and in client’s home.
2009 : We moved into a 700sqft studio in a pre-war shophouse that allows us to offer both Studio and Outdoor Photography for our clients.
2011 : We build a new home photo studio from scratch and feature a 1500sqft studio that offers our clients sheltered car parking.
2015 : When the opportunity came up for a lease in a commercial space at a beautiful Joo Chiat shophouse, we decided to take it.
2018 : We purchased our own studio and renovated it cater for the needs of our photoshoot clients.

Accessibility for WheelChair, Stroller, Trolley & Luggage As our work ranges from Maternity Photoshoot to Newborn Photoshoot to Individual Family and Big Family Photoshoot, our clients coming to our studio are also rather diverse. From babies in arms, to toddler in strollers, elderly folks with mobility devices, or film production team lugging trolley loads or equipment into our studio.
Our final studio building location, interior design, and decor had taken all of the above into consideration with clients in mind. Our current studio now has all of the 3 features above. We stand ready to serve so that clients can make their journey to photo studio in the least amount of effort.
Afterall, Tomato Photo Studio is all about making things simple for everyone.
My experience with Tomato Photo has been extremely positive the entire way. We had some scheduling limitations and they were very accommodating to our last minute and odd requests. Detailed guidance was given on what to wear, and how to prepare for the shoot. Hart is a true professional and was wonderfully superb in managing our troop of young children! We were expecting to have to bribe and coax for smiles but it was surprisingly painless and easy. We just stepped out of the way and let him do his magic. He knew all the tricks to make them smile naturally, and we are so pleased with the results. They were all like best friends by the end of the session. The location was easy to get to with lots of parking options. Lift takes you straight to the right floor, without stairs, so it was great for the older folks. Big genuine smiles, giggles and meaningful expressions are things we capture! As life is complicated enough. Images from your family photoshoot should be simple enough to show your bonding as a family and simple enough for you to have them done. We have created a step by step guide that will be given to you at the appropriate time after your booking, so that you are confident in knowing what you will need to do next.

In this time and age, everybody wants results yesterday! They want it FAST. Over the years of practising and perfecting his craft, he has streamlined lots of his processes to make everything work more efficiently.
What Is The Process?
We like to be associated with the word: EASY! Its all about you so we make everything easy for you. The steps are simple:
- Book – online
- Shoot – in-person
- Select images at your leisure (online anytime, anywhere in the world) – online
- Final products delivered to your home – Simply wait for your tangible memories to arrive at home.
Our promise is, the whole process will be simple for you. Yes, you only travel to us once (if you do studio shoots). We will give you enough information at every step so you know exactly what you need to do and we are always just a phone call or text away. Of course, as we offer only limited sessions each year, do book ahead so we can plan our time to serve you the best we can. Hart have the innate ability to click to get the right images and the right time and hence the images were already captured right on camera. Expect to see the results from the entire shoot within 48 hours.
Engaged Tomato Photo for our newborn photoshoot and very pleased with how the photos turned out. What Is The Investment?
We call it an investment because a portrait is more than a photograph. It becomes a reminder of your existence and, one day, a treasured piece of family history — a visual family tree your children will cherish.
Those who have not experienced the photo session with us may think it is expensive. Those who have, know it was worth it.
Families who return over the years know there is simply no substitute for the experience, craftsmanship and calm confidence that comes from someone who knows exactly how to create the image and manage the people in it.

When you come to Tomato Photo Studio, you can relax knowing everything will be taken care of.
Pricing is intentionally set to keep the number of sessions manageable, so you won’t need to book months in advance. Sessions are available 7 days a week, all year round, except for the occasional break Hart takes to recharge.
What this means for you is that we are always fresh to serve you and you can book your shoot within a shorter time frame (within a week or two). We like to take time to serve you, but at the same time, take just enough of your valuable time to get you results.
As every family is different, the final investment varies, though many families typically invest from around $1500 onwards in their family portraits.
You will receive the full detail and extent of our rates when you enquire with us, so you know for sure, what our rates are and what to expect. Notably, our rates are the same for any day of the year, any place within Singapore.
